PS3SAVEGAME has entered  its youth - with its passing of 1000 members!

If it hadn't been for some of our members I belive this site never would have seen the light of day. With that said I think there is still room for improvements and we would like more of you to take part in building this site. Think of it guys, if every one of you only uploaded 1 save game each, this site would be amazing. With more than 1000 game saves the potential of holding at least one save for every game ever distributed for the PS3 console would be close to realistic!

Contests and rewards

So, as a token of appreciation we'd like to reward every one who participate in making this site greater. Which we will do by introducing a point system, derived from the "Best contributer award" for 2008. Please consider that this site is a non profit website. But with a little bit of advertising we see the potential of making some income that shall be returned to our members. This is done by having contests and rewards along the way. These contests will be announced from time to time on ps3savegame.com.

How does it work

Two kinds of systems. One based on monthly or periodical contribution where the total points given to a member for that period will announce the winner. Then again we'd like everyone ever contributed to have a fair chance of reward. That brings us over to the next system. Which means if you've ever got points from our point system, regadless of when, you'll have a chance of winning. Your odds of winning will be based on your contributions from January 2009 and forth on. All winners will be announced and glorified in a coming section of ps3savegame.com - The hall of fame!   

Prizes

What's in it for me you say? Sure, I'll take you to the juicy part . It will depend on the monthly income from advertisement (and believe me that isn't a lot) and the interests of these competitions of course. But we'll try to aim for giving out new game titles for the PS3 console and do not settle for less than usefull PS3 gadgets and accessories.

March Competition

Let's get on to the next competition - March!

Since we are in a a celebration mode. We will reward for both our systems. If you've skipped these parts, that means you have a double chance of winning.

If you are the member who get most points (se point system below) before the end of March, you'll win a very hot game. 

If you're one of those relying on pure luck and you've contributed at least once since January 2009, you're qualified for the second system. The second system is more like lottary. For example: If the total accumulated points for all contribution is at one point, lets say 5 000 points since January 2009, and you have accumulated 500 points you'll have 1/10 chance - or 10% chance!

Deadline for entering both contests is March 31 th. You're automatically participating the contest when you have submitted either a game save or written a user review.

Point system

This is how the points will be given out:

Submitted game save: 100p
Submitted user review: 500p (must be accepted by PS3SAVEGAME)
Game save submitted for a forum request:  700p (must be accepted by member or PS3SAVEGAME)
